IOWA CITY, Iowa - Kids in Iowa City and Waterloo had another day off Thursday after administrators closed schools due to frigid temperatures.

It's been the third day off for kids in Iowa City. Several other school days have also been delayed due to weather. The weather has kept all Iowans indoors for significant time this winter.

Specialists at the University of Iowa are warning people to be aware of seasonal affective disorder as the winter drags on. Symptoms of the disorder can include desperation, loss of energy, oversleeping and weight gain.

While many people spent Thursday indoors, a few dozen were at the Coral Ridge Mall ice skating rink.

"Don't want to get cabin fever," one skater noted.
