CEDAR RAPIDS Iowa -- Police are investigating the second armed robbery at a business in the past four days.
Two men held up Puff N' Stuff, 171 Jacolyn Dr. NW, around 9:05 p.m. Sunday, police said. They got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area on foot. No one was injured.
According to a police report, a 29-year-old female clerk and a 51-year-old female customer were in the store when the two men came inside. One of the men displayed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.
The gunman was described as a black man, around 6-foot-3 and 160 pounds, with a slender build and short hair. He was wearing a horizontally-striped hooded sweat shirt. The other man was white, around 5-foot-6, with a slender build and blond or light brown hair. He was wearing a green sweat shirt.
Last Thursday, one of the suspects was wearing a hooded sweat shirt with black and red horizontal stripes during a robbery at Discount Liquor, 2933 First Ave. SE. Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said it has not been determined if the two robberies are connected.
No arrests have been made in either incident.
