Cedar Rapids Police Investigate Bank Robbery
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Authorities are looking for a man they say robbed a bank in northeast Cedar Rapids Wednesday afternoon.
Officials responded to a robbery at Wells Fargo, 3570 First Avenue NE around 12:50 p.m. Lt. Cody Estling said a man walked into the bank and passed a note to a teller indicating this was a robbery. The man did not display a weapon, and left with an undetermined amount of money, Estling said. No one was injured.
The suspect is described a black male, 6 feet tall and weighs about 180-200 pounds. He was last seen fleeing the bank in a grey stocking cap and yellow sweatshirt, police said.
The incident remains under investigation.
