Cedar Rapids Police Investigate Gunshots

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Police arrested two people after gunfire early this morning in Cedar Rapids.

Police responded to a shots fired call in the 1400 block of Washington Avenue this morning. No one was hurt.

They received a burglary in progress call while they were there. Police arrested two brothers. Both are named Randy Sledge. One brother is 25 years old, and the other is 20 years old.

They are charged with interference with official acts.

Police are still investigating whether they had anything to do with the gunfire or burglary reports this morning.
