IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - A downtown Iowa City bagel shop will reopen for business, more than two years after a huge fire destroyed its building.

Bruegger's Bagels announced Tuesday that its business in the freshly rebuilt location will open Monday, featuring updated menu boards, lively colors and fabrics, more seating and an espresso bar.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen says the Iowa City business had opened in 1989 and was one of the first five locations for the nationwide bagel chain.

It was destroyed when a fire started in its kitchen on Sept. 24, 2011. The blaze spread to two neighboring buildings that have since been torn down. Other buildings suffered smoke and water damage, and the fire caused millions of dollars in damage.

Fire officials say the cause was undetermined
