Obviously you haven't worked in a packing house. My husband did for over 20 yrs. He was there when illegals started coming, witnessed the downfall of wages; benefits; and quality. Americans WILL work these jobs, just give them a decent wage. I can't believe you support slave labor. Are you sure you aren't a company official? I think most who support them are. EIther that, or don't have to work hard for a living. Talk to the average citizen laborer and you will learn some things.

humanrights: they did not pay taxes, i am so sick of you guys unable to get the story straight, read the affadavit. Human rights what about the US citzens rights? Why should we kiss the butts of illegal aliens and they be catered to? We wouldn't be in their country. They sent most of their money back to their country. Have you ever been to Postville? What about the legal citzens of that town? What should they get? Hmm, seems like another tree hugger.

We could call it the illegal fund especially since the way these HUMANS were treated in the meatpacking plant is a violation of human rights. They contributed to the local and national economy by paying taxes and buying locally. Postville would be, and may become, a ghost town without these hardworking, honest PEOPLE (they have names and families unfortunately for many the whereabouts are unknown). Are you willing to work in a slaughterhouse for $6.00/hr 12 hours a day 6 days a week?

I would donate only if it were going to the good of Postville citzens, the real legal ones, or the Native Americans they have brought in. See Agri will benefit from this somehow, they own 80% of the town, kinda like a Hitler thing huh?

Why don't they call it the illegal fund, i am sure no american will benefit from it. Good way to cover up the real intention behind this. What kind of aid has the real citzens of Postville gotten? The illegals are raking in the dough and goods of all this. Free goverment checks, free food stamps, new clothes, free food served to them, free utilities, i am sure this will be used for free rent and beer. Sorry this is crazy and stupid.
