EAST DUBUQUE - A Wisconsin couple is trying to cop. A body found in the Mississippi River is that of their missing son.

Police now confirm Matthew Kruziki's body turned up in the Massey Marina Saturday night.

Police say a sea-plane pilot was practicing water landings on Saturday. He spotted a body floating in the middle of the channel.

It was Bill Kruziki's worst nightmare. He says he got the news he most feared. Kruziki tells TV9 the Rockford Medical Examiner says the body found in the river is his son matt.

"As a result of the autopsy we have identification of the body,” said Steve O’Connell, East Dubuque Police.

The news comes after Kruziki tried to take the investigation of Matt's disappearance into his own hands. Last month, Bill Kruziki asked the FBI to get involved with the investigation. Bill Kruziki even went as far as taking out a line of credit on his home so he could offer a $25,000 reward. He says he wants to know if foul play was involved in his son's death.
