Iowa City Police Investigate Death

IOWA CITY - Police in Iowa City are investigating what they call "an unattended death."

Authorities responded to a call at an apartment building at 513 South Van Buren Street just before 4:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

When they arrived the found a male victim, who had obvious signs of advanced death. Autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

The victim's name has not been released. Police are deeming this death natural until an exact cause is determined.
