Gov. Issues Disaster Proclamation for Clinton County

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Gov. Terry Branstad has issued a disaster proclamation for an eastern Iowa county hit by storms and flooding.

The proclamation issued Wednesday will allow some residents of Clinton County to apply for grant assistance to help pay for food or temporary housing.

The county already has access to state resources to help with disaster response.
