CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The Cedar River swelled out of its banks Thursday as waters rose to five and half feet above flood stage. The National Weather Service predicts the waters will hold at that level until late Thursday night and then recede.

Flooding concerns did force the RiverLoop Amphitheater to cancel a performance with Grammy winners Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin that was scheduled for Thursday night. Concert organizers say full refunds will be given out to those who purchased tickets starting on Friday.
