Dave Franzman reported on the reopening of Interstate 380. The Interstate was the main connection for Cedar Rapids to Iowa City. The Interstate was open at 6 a.m. Traffic became heavy because the I-380 was the only bridge over the Cedar River for Cedar Rapids to pass through.

I-80 opened the previous day at 4 p.m.

Weather started to change and rivers in Northeastern Iowa continued to fall below flood stage.

Claire Kellett reported from Coralville as some areas remain with eight to nine feet of water. City officials continue to encourage business owners and residents to leave sandbags in certain areas. Water in Coralville continued to flow over the spillway and predictions were water would not stop flowing over the spillway for at least a week.

Chris Earl and Ashley Hinson also reported that leaders at the University of Iowa were having a difficult time because of the floods getting students to the college campus.
