Due to flooding, Iowa might had lost one to three million acres of corn crops according to one survey. The lost had a ripple effect on other states and the economy. Corn prices had even increased.

In Palo, inspection crews checked foundations to make sure properties were stable.

Coralville residents had to wait for word when they would be allowed to return to their homes. Officials were the only ones allowed to go in areas, because it remained dangerous for people due to high waters.

Some people might not have had a home to return too even after areas opened again, because of structural damages that were beyond repair.

A man trying to drive around a checkpoint was arrested. He was charged with aggrevated assault.
