The areas in Cedar Rapids that were evacuated included the Rompot District. Linn County issued a mandatory evacuation because a small breech in the levee.

Work at the Iowa Memorial Union stopped after midnight. Crews worked for fifteen hours to sandbag.

Coralville spillway poured over and increased.
Anamosa and Benton County were dealing with an increase of flood waters.

Highway 30 and 380 bridge was the only way to get into the downtown area of Cedar Rapids. Other lanes were being closed.
