Closed Section of Highway 3 to Reopen

NEW HAMPTON (AP) -The Iowa Department of Transportation says a section of Iowa highway 3 in Butler County will reopen Tuesday. It was closed because of heavy damage suffered during last month's floods.

The section of damaged road is west of Shell Rock, two miles east of Iowa 188. Crews replaced the damaged pavement and added paved shoulders to protect it from future flooding.
