Update on Iowa 92 Construction Work Near Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Iowa – June 19, 2008 – The Iowa Department of Transportation’s Chariton construction office is reporting the following activity related to the construction of Iowa 92 near Knoxville.

•The Iowa14 entrance ramp will be closed on Friday, June 20 as part of the construction of Iowa 92. Follow detour signs.

•The westbound Iowa 92 entrance and exit ramps at Iowa 5 are open and nearing completion, but motorist can expect intermittent delays as work is finished on these ramps.

•The crushing operation on mainline Iowa 92 continues and paving is expected to begin June 19, weather permitting.

•On Iowa 14 eastbound, the entrance and exit ramps to Iowa 92 and the Iowa 14 westbound exit ramp to Iowa 92 remain open
