Turkey River Expected to Crest Above 1993 Level

FAYETTE COUNTY - The Turkey River is still rising. Residents are advised to be prepared. It is anticipated that the Turkey River will crest 2 - 3 feet above the 1993 flood level.

Travel is not advised on hard surface and gravel roads in the northern half of Fayette County at this time. Motorists are advised to be exceedingly cautious. Use extreme caution on secondary roads.

Anyone requiring evacuation should contact the Fayette County Emergency Operations Center at 563-422-5856.
