Volunteers Needed to Remove Sandbags in Iowa City

IOWA CITY - Iowa City is calling for volunteers to come out and remove sandbags.

They are looking for help Friday and Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

They're asking you to come to the corner of Normandy Drive and Manor Drive to receive your assignment. Volunteers will be removing sandbags from the floodwall and moving them to the curb.

Remember to wear work clothes, sturdy shoes and gloves.

Snacks and water will be provided.
