CEDAR RAPIDS - Many properties in Cedar Rapids were damaged beyond repair in the record flood earlier this month. City officials have released a list of structures in Cedar Rapids that will need to be torn down.
From the City of Cedar Rapids:
Pursuant to section 364.12 of the Iowa State Code and section 22.06 of the Cedar Rapids Municipal Code, the City of Cedar Rapids is proceeding with its Emergency Demolition Program to remove structures determined to be an immediate threat to the public's health, or welfare. Structures identified as posing an immediate threat to the public's health, safety or welfare have been posted with purple placards.
The following is a list of properties currently identified for demolition beginning no sooner than July 2, 2008.
