CR Council Approves Permits for RVs on Flooded Property

By Becky Ogann

CEDAR RAPIDS - The Cedar Rapids City Council has opened new options for flood affected homeowners to stay on their property.

Flood victims can now live in a recreational vehicle on their property.

There are some people already doing that. Those people will not have to pay a fine.

Starting Monday morning people can apply for free. The free permit will only last until November 15. After that, residents will have to prove their housing arrangements are winterized.
