Former Democratic Party Chairman Backs Obama
DES MOINES (AP) - The former chairman of the Iowa Democratic Party is endorsing Barack Obama's bid for president.
Gordon Fischer says the Illinois senator has the best chance of winning the White House and changing the nation's direction. Fischer, a Des Moines attorney, says he wasn't offered a position with Obama's campaign but will spend the next 100 days traveling the state on Obama's behalf.
