DES MOINES (AP) - Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller says he's leaning toward staying in Iowa - despite talks about serving in President-elect Barack Obama's administration.

Miller, who has served as Iowa's top prosecutor for 20 years, says he has "some discussions" with Obama's transition team, but it appears that he'll stay in Iowa.

Miller endorsed Obama when the Illinois senator decided to run in January 2007.

Miller says he's no longer interested in becoming chairman of the Federal Trade Commission and he would not be interested in a judgeship.

The 64-year-old Miller was elected attorney general in 1978. He served until 1990 when he ran unsuccessfully for governor. He was elected as attorney general in 1994 and has been re-elected ever since. He's expected to run again in 2010.
