DES MOINES - Inclement weather has caused polling places in some counties to change locations. Hamilton, Jasper, Polk and Tama counties have already made changes to polling place locations. The polling places will still be open from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Due to flooding in Hamilton County, the polling place for Clear Lake has been moved to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 855 Main St. Stanhope.

Due to flooding in Jasper County, the precincts Colfax 1, Colfax 2, and Colfax 3 will vote at the Colfax High School located at 204 North League Road in Colfax tomorrow. No voting will take place at the Jasper County Fairgrounds.

Due to flooding in Polk County, the Washington 1 district has relocated to United Methodist Church at 11180 NE 34th Avenue in Farrar.

Due to flooding in Tama County, the polling place for Richland/Salt Creek Precinct has been relocated to the Tama Civic Center. The City of Chelsea is cut off by floodwater, and traffic is not allowed in or out.

If additional changes are made in polling place locations, the Secretary of State’s Office will keep an updated list of changes in polling place locations on the front page of its website at www.sos.state.ia.us.
