New Hampshire Primary on Tuesday

WINDHAM, NH - Last week's Iowa caucuses started changing the landscape of the presidential race. And the next major test comes Tuesday in New Hampshire.

The first presidential primary allows independents to vote for either party. Among republicans, Iowa winner Mike Huckabee is a distant third in New Hampshire. And John McCain, who finished fourth in Iowa, holds a lead in the polls ranging anywhere from one to nine points over Mitt Romney.

"Tomorrow's the day when we will tell the world that the state of New Hampshire has again chosen the next president of the United States," said Sen. John McCain, (R) Arizona.

Romney has lowered his expectations in New Hampshire, and says another second place finish would continue to show he is a viable contender for the republican nomination.

On the democratic side, a once tight race in New Hampshire might not be the case anymore. Several new polls show that Barack Obama is leading Hillary Clinton.

The lead ranges from as small as one point to as much as 13 points. And John Edwards has moved into a strong third place showing in all of them.

Clinton says no matter what happens in New Hampshire, her campaign will continue.
