Presidential Candidates Begin Final Push to Iowa Caucuses

DES MOINES (AP) - It's another busy day in the presidential race in Iowa.

With just 17 days to go, candidates are fanning out across the state as the final push begins toward the Iowa caucuses on January 3rd.

Democrats Chris Dodd, Hillary Rodham Clinton, John Edwards, Barack Obama and Bill Richardson all have events Monday. On the Republican side, it's Fred Thompson and Ron Paul.

Meanwhile, some endorsements are expected Monday.

Iowa Rep. Steve King had endorsed fellow Republican Fred Thompson for president.

Also Monday, Congressman Dave Loebsack is backing Barack Obama in the Democratic race, while first lady Mari Culver is endorsing Democrat John Edwards.
