DUBUQUE (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards says rival Hillary Clinton's campaign has been financed by corporate money.

Edwards spoke at a regional conference of the United Auto Workers in Dubuque today. He says Clinton is the person who's raised the most money from Washington lobbyists. He says she's raised the most money from the defense industry.

He also criticizes former President Bill Clinton's administration for deals like the North American Free Trade Agreement, which some blame for the loss of millions of U.S. jobs.

Edwards says the manufacturing sector has suffered the most because of currency manipulation, illegal foreign subsidies, bad trade deals and rising energy and health costs.

He calls for reversing trade and tax policies.

Edwards also says that unions are largely responsible for the growth of the American middle class.
