Autopsy Confirms Bodies Found in Bremer Co. Are Missing Cousins

EVANSDALE, Iowa - The Iowa State Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that the two bodies found last Wednesday in the 7 Bridges Wildlife Area in Bremer County are Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins.

Hunters found the bodies at 7 Bridge Wildlife Area on Wednesday, concluding the search for the two cousins who were last seen riding their bikes in Evansdale.

Officers with Evansdale police, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, FBI, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Black Hawk and Bremer county sheriff’s offices blocked off the former county park while they processed the scene and gathered evidence for three days.

A reward of $150,000 has been established for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
