Upper Iowa's Josh Walker goes from working on roofs to NCAA champion

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - Josh Walker became Upper Iowa's first wrestling national champion in six years after winning the 133-pound Division II national title last Saturday.

"It means everything to end on a good note, to end as a national champion," said Walker.

The feeling almost slipped away with him. After being an NJCAA All-American in 2013 and 2014, Walker took a leave from school and the sport of wrestling, and worked for a roofing company in his home state of Oklahoma.
