Iowa Women's Basketball jumps to #18 after win over Michigan

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- The Iowa Women's Basketball team moved from #23 to #18 in the Associated Press poll following Sunday's 82-72 win over then #21 Michigan.

With Tania Davis and Makenzie Meyer sidelined due to injury, the remaining nine players are finding ways to win.

The Hawkeyes are 14-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes beat Wisconsin in Madison on Thursday and took down Michigan at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Sunday.

The Hawkeyes take to the road this week. The travel to #13 Maryland for a Thursday game and then head to Champaign for a Sunday game against Illinois.

They return home to Carver-Hawkeye Arena for a January 13 contest against Purdue.

Other Big Ten teams in the Top 25 are Ohio State at #10, Maryland at #13 and Michigan at #22.
