Woman Killed, Firefighter Hurt in DeWitt Fire

Authorities say a 67-year-old woman died in an apartment fire in the eastern Iowa city of DeWitt.
The fire was reported around 4:30 a.m. Friday. Other residents safely escaped from the multi-unit complex. WQAD-TV, the ABC affiliate in the Quad Cities,
were damaged by fire or smoke.
The name of the dead woman hasn't been released.
Police say a firefighter was hurt when part of the building's roof collapsed. He was taken to a hospital for treatment, but authorities described his injuries as minor.
The fire cause is being investigated.
