Weekend begins quiet, but cold

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - Cold weather is here again, although it won't be as harsh or long-lasting as our last bout. Lows tonight will fall to near or a bit below zero as some clouds pass through. We'll enjoy a lot of sunshine on Saturday, but highs will stay in the lower teens.

Most of us dip below zero again Saturday night. Clouds increase on Sunday as light snow develops in the afternoon and evening. That'll continue into Sunday night. A coating up to two inches is likely, and areas closer to the Mississippi may get a bit more.
