CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - The wind is going to be something that we have to get used to dealing with the next several days. The wind will be coming in out of the southeast this weekend at 15 to 25 mph, gusting as high as 30 mph at times. Monday and Tuesday also look like they’ll be windy. Early signs are that gusts up to 30 mph will be possible each of those days, too.
Our next weather system is still on schedule to affect us the first couple of days of next week. Rain will move in Sunday night into Monday. Most of the rain will taper off during the afternoon Monday as drier air punches in; there may actually be some areas of clearing. As the system pulls away on Tuesday, it’ll pull in cooler air and a chance of snow showers. At this point, potential accumulations look fairly low.
