CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - Wind gusts on Tuesday often hit the 30 to 40 mph range, and occasionally got above that. They’ll drop down to around 5 to 15 mph Tuesday night, but that lull will be short-lived. Winds should be from the west or northwest on Wednesday around 15 to 25 mph, gusting around 30 mph. That’s not as strong as on Monday or Tuesday, but it’ll still be quite noticeable and will keep wind chills close to 20 degrees.
One other item of note in our weather is a fast-moving weather system that will move across the Midwest Tuesday night. For the most part, the only thing it’ll do for us is bring a period of clouds. However, scattered flurries are possible. These will not accumulate, however.
