CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- While short sleeve shirts are common attire for many on Monday, we’ll be breaking back out the coats for the middle of the week. However, we’re quickly back to a spring wardrobe by week’s end.
On Monday night a cold front will sweep across the upper Midwest, bringing down a Canadian high that will drop in some seasonably cool air for the middle of the workweek. While it won’t be extreme, it will certainly be colder than the conditions we’re experiencing on Monday.
Temperatures will start off in the 30s on Tuesday morning, and will only climb into the 40s for the afternoon. We’ll drop back into the 20s and teens Tuesday night, and will struggle to make it into the 40s for Wednesday, which will be the coolest day of this week.
A warming trend ensues for Thursday, but the big warm-up arrives on Friday as temperatures are expected to soar back into the 60s!
