CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Our stagnant weather pattern has been bringing us seasonable weather for early September. Our temperatures have been very close to average, but as the remnants of Irma pull away later this week, our temperatures will climb.
We’ll be gradually warming over the next five days, as we start near 80 for a high on Monday. By Wednesday we’ll be looking at low 80s for the afternoon. The climb continues by Friday with highs in the middle 80s. A cold front approaching from the west will increase our southerly winds ahead of it, which means we could be even warmer for Saturday.
Although there will be a small increase in humidity, we’re not expecting muggy conditions. In fact, the dry air and ground will be a contributing factor to possible warmer temperatures.
