CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - The highlight of the first half of this week will be the first above-freezing temperatures in more than two weeks. You’ll certainly want to make sure your windshield washer fluid is topped off, because there’s going to be plenty of road spray these next few days.
A chunk of milder air, packing relatively high moisture, will surge northward into Iowa Tuesday night and Wednesday. Areas of fog and drizzle will be possible during that time.
We’re also watching Thursday. While the more active weather in terms of snow should be in northwestern Iowa into Minnesota, it won’t be a completely uneventful day here. Some rain showers look likely during the morning, perhaps turning over to some wet snow before ending. Strong northwest winds will cause temperatures to fall through the day.
