CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - It isn’t looking like much, but an Alberta Clipper may bring a round of light snow to the area Friday night. Most of the snow will fall to our east in Wisconsin, but it’ll be close enough bring us some snowflakes. The best chance for us will be in far northeastern Iowa, with only scattered flurries falling farther to the west. Accumulations will be minor, with perhaps a couple tenths of an inch falling near the Mississippi. Elsewhere, a dusting or less is likely.
Winds will also pick up later Friday night and continue on through early Saturday afternoon. They’ll be sustained at 15 to 25 mph, sometimes gusting as high as 30 mph. They’ll gradually come down again late Saturday.
