Names released of people in car that drove off Edgewood Road bridge onto railroad tracks below

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Emergency crews responded to the scene of a crash on Edgewood Road NE in Cedar Rapids where a car went off the Cedar River bridge and landed on railroad tracks below.

Authorities say the driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Jonisa Williams, lost control of the car just before 8 p.m. Wednesday, causing the crash.

One of the passengers in the car, 22-year-old Jeremiah Taylor had minor injuries from the crash. Another passenger, 33-year-old Setra Sumerall, was not hurt in the accident.

Firefighters used a ladder truck to lift Williams back on to Edgewood Road where ambulances took them to a hospital.

Police said the Williams had more serious injuries from the crash.

The accident is still under investigation.
