Two taken to hospital after single vehicle crash on Highway 100

LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Authorities responded to a single vehicle crash at 12:19 a.m. on February 14.

Donna Brawner, 53, of Cedar Rapids, was driving southbound on 44th Street and failed to stop at a stop sign. Brawner continued across Highway 100 and went into a ditch.

Brawner and the passenger in the car, Robert Brawner, 57, of Cedar Rapids, were taken to Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts during the crash.

Donna was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.

The Marion Police Department, Linn County Sheriff's Deputies, Marion Fire Department, and Area Ambulance responded to the accident.
