CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9)-- Our weather pattern has been extremely quiet lately. Besides the chance for a stray shower here and there, we’ve had nothing but some sunshine and a few clouds passing by.
Although some may need the rain, overall the inactive weather pattern hasn’t been too shabby right? Well, guess what—the inactive weather sticks around for possibly the next two weeks.
Here’s what may be causing that stagnant weather.
An area of low pressure will begin to mature within the Atlantic over the next week and push up the east coast. This potential tropical development in the Atlantic will cause our weather to basically stall.
However, if the low doesn’t mature enough, our weather could become more exciting.
