Sunshine accompanies the warming trend

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - Mild weather will turn borderline hot later this week. Today, though, looks like another pleasant day with sunshine and highs in the lower 80s. Temperatures fall back to the 50s tonight and rise all the way to the upper 80s tomorrow.

Most of the area will be around 90 on Friday. However, there will be a bit of a breeze, and it won't be muggy. Upper 80s continue Saturday, as does a southerly wind. It'll be a touch more humid, but not oppressive.

A cold front passes through Saturday night through Sunday morning, bringing a chance of isolated showers and storms as well as a drop in temperature.
