CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Quiet, persistent weather is the name of the game through Friday night. Plan on highs into the 80-85 range each afternoon with lows sinking to the upper 50s most nights.
By the time we get to Saturday, that's when our next system will be close enough that it could impact us locally. Latest data is suggesting that this system may be extremely slow to enter eastern Iowa, making for the best window of time to get some storms in the evening and overnight. This slowing trend may allow Sunday morning to be a bit wet as well before the whole thing pulls to the east Sunday afternoon.
Rainfall amounts are expected to be light to moderate. Severe weather risk remains very low.
