CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Plan on another day of sunny sky along with cold temperatures. Like yesterday, Waterloo and points northwest will be significantly colder than everyone else due to the snow that's on the ground. Elsewhere, plan on another day into the teens. The wind will be much lighter, overall.
Attention then turns to tomorrow afternoon as an Alberta Clipper comes in from the northwest. This should spread snow over the area during the afternoon and evening hours. A 1-2" snowfall is likely in many areas, with isolated 3" amounts not entirely out of the discussion. Wind will ramp up significantly behind the system with gusts to 35mph late Sunday night into Monday morning. This will lead to areas of blowing snow and slick travel lingering through Monday.
