Show of sportsmanship between two cross-country runners in eastern Iowa

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Sportsmanship is a concept coaches and parents often stress to young athletes.

It's about doing the right thing on the field of competition. It's about respecting your opponent. And sometimes, it's even about helping your opponent.

More than 900 runners took part in the MVC cross-country supermeet at Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids. But two athletes were the real winners: Evan Hansen from Iowa City High, and Adam Todd from Cedar Rapids Washington.
