The I-80 rest stop looked scary early Wednesday morning near Victor. Squad cars patrolled as investigators looked into the fatal shooting of a truck driver. Authorities say the driver was shot inside his tractor trailer but the motive is unknown. When the rest stop re-opened, other drivers say they have a couple safety rules they stick to when travelling.

"If something looks suspicious, avoid it," said Michelle Bender of Phoenix, Arizona.

"They should go in couples. I travel with my wife Lex and you wouldn't want to fight with her," said David Wells of Harvey's Lake, Pennsylvania.
