LEACHVILLE, Ark. (WSAZ) -- Police at one department are warning people to wipe off their grocery cart handle, not because of germs, but because of drugs.

The Leachville Police Department in Arkansas posted Wednesday on their station Facebook they say to keep everyone, including young children, safe.

In the post, the department says wiping the handle of the grocery cart could remove deadly Fentanyl that could be left on handles due to the nation's drug epidemic.

The person running the account ends the post by saying they normally don't wipe the handles of grocery carts, but that they will start doing it now.
