Police: Marion woman suffers 'significant injuries' in motorcycle crash

MARION, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A Marion woman went to the hospital with what police called "significant injuries" after losing control of her motorcycle and crashing.

Marion Police said it happened about 7:35 p.m. on 29th Avenue near Indian Creek Circle.

They said 61-year-old Valarie Biancalana was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

No other vehicles or people were involved in the crash, which remains under investigation.
