LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- One person is recovering following a crash in Linn County, early Saturday morning.

It happened just before 3:00 a.m.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office says Justin Jindrich was driving north on North Mentzer Road. Authorities said he did not stop at a stop sign at the County Home Road intersection. That's when his car went into the ditch, hit the embankment and then hit a tree.

A passenger, Melisa Sutton, was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Jindrich has been cited.
