DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - Five years of probation. That's the sentence for a woman who's two-year-old son shot himself in the face while playing with a gun.
A judge sentenced 26-year-old Raven Harris Friday. The Dubuque woman pleaded guilty to child endangerment resulting in serious injury. She had faced a 10-year-prison sentence.
Harris admitted to leaving the gun on a T-V right before the shooting back on January 3rd, in Dubuque. Her son, Jeremiah Horsley, was hit in the jaw and survived.
The child's father, Willie Horsley Senior, has already been sentenced to one year of probation. He too pleaded guilty to a child endangerment charge.
