Mild today, warmer tomorrow

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Watch for a few pockets of fog across eastern Iowa this morning. Rural areas will be most at risk along with river valleys. This is pretty shallow fog (if you have any at all), and will burn away very quickly leaving us with a sunny day.

Plan on highs into the lower to middle 80s. From Thursday through Saturday, a surge of warm air is set to move in. It's possible our western counties may get to 90 as early as tomorrow, but a better chance of 90 degrees will be with us both Friday and Saturday. A hot football game is essentially a guarantee for the Hawks at this point with temperatures inside Kinnick around 90 degrees.
