Man almost hit by car while harassing bus driver

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A man from Iowa City has been charged with 3rd-degree harassment for events that happened on October 5 at 8:30 a.m.

Michael Ritter, 33, of Iowa City, yelled and held up his middle finger at a victim who was driving a bus stopped at the intersection near Clinton/College.

Ritter then rode his bike down the intersection and in front of the bus while holding up his middle finger to the victim again.

While riding his bike, Ritter was almost hit by a car crossing the intersection.

Court records say Ritter used to date the victim's daughter and was given a no-contact order for her. It also says he has no reason to contact or intimidate the victim.Ritter has been charged with 3rd-degree harassment.
